Titanium Grade 2 Fasteners contain mainly commercially pure titanium with more than 99% composition of titanium, along with trace amounts of impurities such as iron and oxygen to impart strength. This grade provides a very good combination of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. Characteristic mechanical properties are a tensile strength of about 344 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of about 20%. Its low density (4.51 g/cm³) provides a light weight section, but excellent resistance to oxidation as well as chemical attack in a hostile environment.
