Brian Fasteners proudly produces and distributes Stainless Steel 202 Stud Bolts, developed for moderately corrosive applications where economical strength and performance are needed. Made in our Houston, USA plant, these stud bolts are composed of an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese alloy and are suitable for general engineering, construction, and architectural applications. SS 202 has good mechanical strength and wear resistance, which makes these stud bolts appropriate for medium to light-duty industrial applications. Our 202 stud bolts are made to ASTM A193 specifications and precision-machined and tested for dimensional precision and mechanical performance.
Stainless Steel 202 has around 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, 7.5–10% manganese, and minor nitrogen. It provides reasonable corrosion resistance along with good toughness. These stud bolts provide tensile strength of 90–100 ksi, yield strength of 35–45 ksi, and Rockwell hardness of B85–B95. SS 202 retains strength at room and moderately high temperatures. While less corrosion-resistant than 304, it is significantly cost-effective for internally and mildly corrosive conditions. It offers good weldability and machinability, which makes it applicable in general engineering purposes.
