Our Copper Nickel 90/10 Nuts are made up of about 90% copper and 10% nickel with small amounts of iron and manganese. The alloy is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater, chlorides, and acidic surroundings. They have a tensile strength of around 320 MPa and a yield strength of about 160 MPa. The moderate thermal conductivity of the material (~30 W/m·K) and excellent ductility (elongation of about 40%) further qualify it for cold forming. Annealing hardness is usually between 80 and 95 HV, with the usual Brinell hardness being 70–100 HB—guaranteeing stable mechanical performance under severe stress.
