Our Copper Nickel 70/30 Washers consist of about 70% copper and 30% nickel, together with trace amounts of iron and manganese for added strength. These washers possess excellent resistance to corrosion in seawater, stress corrosion cracking, and erosion. They provide tensile strength between 360–420 MPa and yield strength of 150–190 MPa. Hardness is generally in the range of 100–120 HB. The thermal conductivity of the alloy (~35 W/m·K) and superior mechanical properties make these washers best suited for sealing and load transfer in high-pressure and corrosive environments.
