Carbon Steel Threaded Rods are made of steel with different percentages of carbon, typically 0.2% to 0.6% carbon, along with other elements such as manganese for strengthening. Mechanical properties are tensile strength between 400 and 1000 MPa and yield strength between 250–800 MPa based on steel grade. They have even threads for equal distribution of torque and tension. The hardness is in the range of 100–300 HB. Carbon steel does not have much corrosion resistance, though galvanization or other surface coatings very much enhance its longevity in wet or corrosive environments.
