Duplex Steel Fasteners S32205 (usually called high-performance 2205) have about 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and a bit more nitrogen (0.15-0.20%). This austenitic-ferritic microstructure with its balance improves even further its already remarkable pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. Mechanically, S32205 has higher tensile strength (minimum 655 MPa), much higher yield strength (minimum 485 MPa), and great ductility compared to its predecessor S31803.
